Journey: A Continuous Beginning
As I wave goodbye to another weekend I got to thinking about the meaning of a journey, my journey. My life has had very good moments and also very upsetting ones. In life we encounter a little bit of everything; the ups, the lows, the extreme highs, the crucial moments in our life such as the birth of a child, and so many more little moments that end up linking together to become what is our life, our own personal journey. What I find interesting is that every day we are able to have a new beginning and make decisions in our every day life that might change the course of it, and yet with each beginning there is a continuation to our story. Every decision adds to our experience, even if we reset our path we will always have our past experience with us and that is a good thing! It allows us to grow and become better every day, to ourselves and to others. We will make mistakes,many of them, during our journey but that is part of life. As one of my favorite quotes says "If you're not making mistakes, then you're not making decisions"
As I finish writing this, I think about a "reset" in my life, about how I can change things for the better and what decisions I am making to make that change happen. I know that even if I embark on a "new beginning" there will always be a fork in the road of my life where it can be seen when I changed direction. I do not know the future and all I can hope for and all I can do is my best, every single day.
