If You Worry About Tomorrow, You'll Forget to Live for Today!

Thought of the Week

My favorite quote is "Even if I knew that tomorrow the world go to pieces, I would still plant my apple tree" attributed to Martin Luther. I write this quote on the front page of my yearly planner, I keep this quote in my memory and at the forefront of what I do on a daily basis. I repeat it on a constant basis and keep it close to my heart. You see, to me this quote represents hope and faith. Breaking it down it is saying that even if the world is to "end" (go to pieces) tomorrow you will still go and put in effort and time to plant a tree! A tree that in essence if the world does "end" tomorrow, will most likely not make it!  So what is the point? This is where hope comes in, this is where endurance, tenacity, and resilience take place. In reality, we don't know if tomorrow the world is going to pieces, we don't know if we will have a tomorrow but yet we continue on with the hope that we will.

This past week I went through a struggle of not knowing what my future might be like, I had doubts and my faith wavered. In those moments my favorite quote came to mind over and over again. Here is this quote that I have cherished for years and in the moment when I should believe  in it I wasn't! But the words within the quote didn't falter in my mind, they kept repeating themselves telling me I had to do everything according to how I had to do them today, in the only moment I had and could take for granted. I couldn't think of tomorrow, all I had for tomorrow was hope, but I did have that moment and I could work with it. It is a lesson easily said but hard to go through. We all worry and sometimes that worry becomes paralyzing. We have to continue to push through and have hope and faith that everything will work out and in most instances it will if only we never stop working towards our tomorrow.

My Birthday

My birthday was on Sunday, September 8. I am now a solid 34! I say solid because it has taken a lot for me to be comfortable in my own skin, to be comfortable in who I am while still striving to be better. 34 years of experience might not seem like a lot but it is enough to grow as a person and to become more confident in one's abilities and with ourselves. I love my 30's more than I did my 20's. Although my 20's were fun and a lot more carefree I now know more than I did then and I am grateful for that.

On my birthday my mom, son, and I decided to go eat at a local Mexican restaurant. Although I'm not much of a wine drinker, I celebrated my 34th birthday with a glass of white wine that was recommended by the waitress to accompany my seafood meal. It was a great time spent with people I love and cherish. Although I took pictures of my son he isn't much of a sharer so here is a picture of me and my meal!

Avon: Out and About

A day before my birthday I had a full day of errands! We have all been there where we have more to do than we have time. I decided I would tackle the most important things first thing and passed by the UPS to drop off a package. It ended up taking longer than expected but they wrapped it up nicely and made sure it would reach it's destination nice and safe. During the wait I spread some Avon love and it was exciting to see that people loved to see an actual Avon Brochure! I spoke with a lady that thought fondly of Avon because her mom had sold it years ago. I had spent some time earlier in the week stamping brochures to pass out and making sure I had enough business cards in my purse to hand out so I had everything ready in my handbag for occasions such as this. It was exciting to see people smile and be so happy to see an Avon Independent Sales Representative. I'm looking forward to many more encounters where I can spread the Avon love as I like to call it!

This is me with my Avon shirt on getting ready to go run errands!

My Favorite Product of the Week

I have been using the Anew Hydra Fusion Daily Beauty Defense SPF 50 for one week now and I absolutely love it! I chose it for the high SPF, although I usually use the Anew skin care that has 25 SPF I wanted to make sure to protect my skin as much as I could against harmful UVA and UVB Rays and SPF 50 hits the spot! It also provides antioxidants to help from free radical damage and is hypoallergenic. It goes on smooth and also provides a nice canvass before applying makeup.
